Prior to joining Slow Money in 2013, Jake worked as part of a small inner team of investment associates at the $130 billion hedge fund Bridgewater Associates. He graduated A.B. summa cum laude from Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School of public policy, with thesis work on microfinance in the US.
Woody is the founder and Chairman of Slow Money. He pioneered the integration of asset management and philanthropic purpose in the 1990s as treasurer of the Jessie Smith Noyes Foundation and founding chairman of the Community Development Venture Capital Alliance.
Before joining Slow Money in 2013, Kyle was a senior content strategist for a digital agency, where he worked with Envirofit, a nonprofit project that develops technology to enhance energy efficiency in developing countries. Kyle has worked numerous roles at the intersection of local economics and tech, including a position with Minneapolis start-up Sprout, an online gateway to help locals connect with sustainable merchants.
Marco worked as an investment manager at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC (“GMO”). He is now one of the co-leaders of the Slow Money Northern California chapter and a member of the Slow Money steering committee.
Kristin is the founder of Sound Point Ventures, with over two decades of experience with new ventures as an entrepreneur, investor, director and advisor.
Esther is the founder and President of Commons Stock. Prior to starting Commons Stock, she was Vice President for Strategy and Business Development at RSF Social Finance.
Andy is the CEO and Principal of Avalon Trust, a wealth management firm and independent trust company.
